Is Curbs out of the running for Wolves job?

There has been speculation that Alan Curbishley is out of the running for the vacant managerial post at Wolves despite appearing to be the favourite at one stage: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11699/7530566/Wolves-manager-hunt-on-course

Earlier in the week it was suggested that the interview had not gone too well and there were rumours yesterday that Curbs had been offered the job but turned it down.

  1. I heard from a good source on Friday that the job had been offered to Curbs. The story that he turned it down broke yesterday. There is talk that the Wolves board wanted to offer a short term deal and reassess the situation at the end of the season. If that is the case, then I don't blame Curbs for rejecting the offer.

  2. It makes one wonder how much does Curbs want to get back into management?
Can't blame Wolves wanting to wait and see what happens in the run in before offering long-term. Given how long Curbs has been out of the game, it represented an opportunity to get back into it.
Is he waiting for the perfect situation? Or a really big club like Arsenal or Chelsea? He is not going to get that chance.
Right now, someone would be taking a chance on Curbs. And he needs to take a chance to get back in.
If Wolves was only offering short term, well, that all that Curbs can expect right now if he wants back in at the Premier League level. And if it didn't work out, he'd be no worse off than now.
