Kewell on his way?

Social media reports are stating that Crawley Town manager Harry Kewell has said his goodbyes to his players this morning as he is set to leave the club and be announced as Charlton manager this Thursday. Charlton are set to be taken over on Wednesday and the new owners believe Kewell is the man for the job.

I have no independent confirmation of these reports. I would like to have seen Bowyer given more of a 'fair go' at the task of management.

  3. I just don't get it. Why Harry Kewell? He's cutting his teeth with a League 2 side, mid-table and currently experiencing indifferent form. Why not give Lee Bowyer a shot at getting the team into the play-offs.

  4. I think the idea from what been told is that both kewell and bowyer know each other and bowyer doesn't want the job full time so he slot back into his assistant position with kewell stepping up he kewell has already said his goodbyes to players so I reckon sometime next week we should be in new owners hands exciting times ahead for cafc
