Richard Cawley of the SLP comments: ‘Contract is legally
binding. Only way to change that is agreement between the two clubs. Plus
you've got to factor in what GD wants to do. I'd hazard a guess that having
signed for another team from July 1 it wouldn't be a great look - even if he
was so-inclined - to say that he wanted to stay!’
