One time Addick Chris Dickson is enjoying a prolific season at age 40, scoring a hattrick for Isthmian Premier side Horsham when they won 6-0 at Potters Bar Town last Saturday.
Formerly at Chatham Town, he has played in Ghana and Cyprus as well as a mass of non-league clubs. Je was at Charlton from 2007-10, coming from Dulwich Hamlet, and made 28 appearances. He did not score for us and had a number of loan spells.
Dickson says he has to learn more about hold up player as he has got older, stating 'I remember my old Charlton boss Alan Pardew [for it was he] saying "That's like gold dust, bringing others into play."'
In 2009 he told the Greenwich Mercury he was trying to force his way back into the squad: https://addickschampionshipdiary.blogspot.com/search?q=Chris+Dickson
I remember him! He seemed to have no understanding of 'offside'
