I've never been too impressed by Stockley. For me he's bit of a one trick pony. His forte seems to be as a target man with the idea of distributing the ball to another attacker using his head or chest, much like Magennis. He seldom seems to chase to win the ball like Taylor used to do. Defence should start with the forwards pressuring the keeper and defenders.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I think Stockley's best performances come when both he and Chuks play up front. I hope we can retain both of them and bring in at least one new striker.
