There is some uncertainty about the future of Scott Fraser who has been on loan at Hearts and has one year left on his contract. Many fans would be happy to let him go and he is keen to don the kilt. However, it appears that Hearts want him on the cheap so for now he has been told to report back for training at Sparrows Lane: https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/sport/scott-fraser-expecting-charlton-athletic-future-discussions-after-hearts-loan/
It doesn't now matter why Private Fraser has failed to deliver at Charlton. It's clear he has no future in SE7. There will inevitably be plenty of haggling over transfer fees and spurious guff 'leaked' to the press. Charlton won't stand in the way of deadwood wanting away. Whatever ludicrous contract he might be on, he's only worth what another side is willing to pay. If Charlton's ownership group have to take a haircut on him then maybe it will crimp what's available for NJ's new squad. That's life in a bottom third League 1 club.
