He was a regular visitor to The Valley and was always excellent company along with Tord Grip and gave Chris Powell and Luke Young their England debuts. A genuinely nice and warm person.'

The former England manager is said to be interested in coming, let's hope he doesn't think he was being offered an honorary fellowship at an Oxford college.
