Richard Cawley of the SLP/London Online has tweeted that the Addicks are chasing quite a few targets this week. They certainly need to, not least a goal keeper. Whether the targets are attracted to Charlton is another matter, although for free agents it's a case of any port in a storm.
I am off to Orkney for a few days where football has to be played in a summer. The Parishes Cup will be coming to a climax with interest in whether Athletico Stromness can repeat last season's surprise victory.
I may think I have a long trip to The Valley, but local Rangers fans face a long trip by sea and land or an expensive flight to see games.
