More Covid cases hit Charlton

With the Omicron variant hitting London particularly hard, Charlton have been hit by more Covid-19 cases, but are working hard to ensure that their Boxing Day meeting with the Wombles goes ahead.  Johnnie Jackson only found out about the three players affected at a late stage before the Plymouth game and this disrupted preparations: https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/charlton-have-more-covid-19-cases-but-working-to-get-boxing-day-match-at-afc-wimbledon-on/

In further comments, Johnnie Jackson has said that it's 'a really delicate situation' with cases among players and staff: https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/johnnie-jackson-on-covid-19-cases-disrupting-his-match-plans-for-charltons-fixture-at-afc-wimbledon/

Louis Mendez has pointed out that the reduction in self-isolation to seven days could help in the cases of Akin Famewo and Conor Washington.
