A chance to progress?

Neither Charlton nor Gillingham have made the best of starts to the season: https://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/sport/no-panic-from-us-says-gillingham-boss-254324/

Gillingham are in a slightly stronger position, fifth from bottom.   They are sixth from bottom in the form table while Charlton are bottom.  At home the Gills have won one, drawn one and lost one.

Saturday's 1-4 defeat at home to MK Dons on Saturday was due to the lack of a 'sensible' referee, according to charm merchant boss Steve Evans.   Stuart O'Keefe was sent off after receiving a second yellow and conceding a penalty.

Nigel Adkins will be under pressure to try something different tonight, but then he did that at Wycombe.

As the Chicago Addick says, it is an opportunity to fire up the season, but I am not too optimistic and anticipate a draw.
