Supporter for 75 years passes away

On one of her last visits to The Valley.  Photo credit: Voice of the Valley.

I am saddened to report that Bromley Addicks President Jean Tindell died on Friday, aged 89. She was in her 75th year of supporting Charlton.   A comment from Bromley Addicks states: ' Jean was a lovely lady, Charlton through and through and we are humbled to have known her as we're sure were many other fans.'

VOTV editor Rick Everitt said 'she was a real star.'

Jean wrote some interesting articles in Voice of the Valley about her early years supporting Charlton after the war and a paragraph in my recent book Political Football summarises her reminiscences.
