Donning the kilt works wonders for former Addick

It's perhaps an unlikely success story, but Charlton product Regan Charles-Cook has benefitted from donning the kilt.  The Lewisham-born player feels really at home in Dingwall playing for Ross County (the former Highland League side is the most northerly club in the Scottish leagues).  What is more he can now keen a mean macaroni cheese: https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/former-charlton-athletic-player-regan-charles-cook-on-hitting-top-of-scoring-charts-in-scotland/

Ashley Maynard-Brewer is on loan with the Staggies, but has been out of the side since breaking his nose.

Red card takes edge off victory

A red card for Andrew Crofts took the edge off Charlton's 2-1 victory over Exeter City in the Carabao Cup. A fuming Karl Robinson implied that the Addicks are being targeted by referees: Cup victors

The supremo was in a defiant mood after the game, giving it large. In a post match interview with Louis Mendez before he headed to Liverpool he said that he did not care if he 'got done by the FA': Tough talk

There were seven Academy graduates in the side and they all played their part. The goals came from Billy Clarke and Regan Charles-Cook.

308 Addicks made the trip to Devon in an attendance of 2,699.

Stunning start by Charles-Cook

On loan Charlton midfielder Regan Charles-Cook made a stunning start to his spell at Solihull Moors, helping them to a 3-0 home win over FA Cup giant killers Sutton United.

On 90 seconds a jinking run took him into the area and although his shot was saved, Shepherd Murombedzi pounced on the loose ball and fed Charles-Cook who tucked the ball into the net. Charles-Cook then netted his second on the stroke of half time. Afolayan turned in Charles-Cook's cross on 70 minutes to complete the scoring.

Moors boss Liam McDonald said of Charles-Cook, 'He's high energy and athletic and he can play football. But he also knows when to express himself and when to keep it.'

Charles-Cook celebrates his 20th birthday this week.
