On paper this afternoon's game against bottom club Bury should offer a chance of three points. Bury have not scored in 664 minutes, losing 3-0 at Plymouth last Saturday. They have won only four games at home this season.
However, Charlton laboured last Saturday to scrape a victory against a very ordinary Oldham side. If they had been more accurate in front of goal, the result might have been different. We have a poor record against the Shakers. Of twelve matches we have played against them since 1968, we have won just one.
Bury reckon they are creating more chances, but are also prone to individual errors of which opponents take advantage: Bury preview
