I have only just come across this article about the Academy, but apparently we are ranked seventh nationally along with the Premier League big boys: Amazing production line
It's a shame that we can't retain some of the stars we produce for longer or get better prices for them.
Wyn, it is something we should be proud of - and the better the reputation the more chance we have of signing up promising young players. But there's a line between being a selling club - which in reality most clubs are - and being a feeder club - which I hope we never will be. Meire and Duchatelet went much too far. (Hope the health is improving.)
