VOTV editor Rick Everitt reports on the presence of the likely next chairman and chief executive at Charlton last night. The Australians broke cover from the bush and sat at the front of the directors' box: Breaking cover
Roland has got his retaliation in first by inserting a clause in the sale agreement which bans Peter Varney and other senior former employees from taking any role on the non-footballing side at The Valley. This clause would cover Ramsgate based fanzine editor Everitt who receive an eleventh hour settlement after his dismissal just as an employment tribunal was about to convene.
So Duchatelet gets to keep his fingers in the till, the "poisonous and discredited Murray" (thank you Rick!) is still literally on board and some respected Charlton folk are still excluded from the club. What has changed?
