Weaker for the weekend

'Lee Bowyer has admitted to Richard Cawley after the departure of Macauley Bonne, 'Yes it makes us a little weaker for the weekend. We'll bring in someone who will score us goals.'

Lee Bowyer made it clear as well that he and Steve Gallen are taking their time to get the right deals. "We've got a two-week break after this game. We're not silly - we know we're weak compared to where we want to be."

Chuks Aneke is fit to be in squad for tomorrow's game. Lee Bowyer has confirmed Marcus Maddison will be in the squad, but is unlikely to start.

Former Addicks manager Phil Parkinson is convinced that Charlton will shrug off their troubles and be rivals for promotion with Sunderland. He finds it difficult to forecast what their personnel or shape will be: https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/phil-parkinson-expects-charlton-athletic-19038977
