Don't read the result off the table

It's always tempting to read results off the table.  Burton Albion are currently bottom of League One and have won just one game at home and lost four.   They are third from bottom in the form table, but Charlton are not.

They have had Covid-19 problems with their squad.  Even so, I always thought that they were punching above their weight with Nigel Clough, now reviving Mansfield with the help of George Lapslie.

After Saturday's home defeat by Northampton, seething supremo Jake Buxton said, 'We didn't give ourselves a chance.  I have to stick to my beliefs.  The players all want to play in the correct way, but we are not picking up the results.'   This is Buxton's first managerial role, but Burton have a very limited budget.

The Brewers tend to give cheap fouls away, so there may be opportunities from set pieces.

Four Four Two forecast a finish in 22nd place.

I forecast the 1-1 draw at Gillingham correctly for the West Sussex CASC Badgers League, my forecast today is a 3-2 win for Charlton.
