Charlton owner Thomas Sandgaard has been 'ordered to leave the club' by Paul Elliott: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54925763
As always, the situation is complicated and confused, but the first point to emphasise is that a legally drafted letter is not the same thing as a legally enforceable order.
As barrister Lauren Kreamer points out, 'calling something a "notice" or saying that someone has been "ordered" to do something is only really true if a Court has issued the notice or order. If someone writes a letter "ordering" someone to do something...they've written a letter.'
VOTV editor Rick Everitt comments: 'Bear in mind the quality of output to date from the Farnell-Elliott gang before taking these latest stories seriously. They no doubt have a court order giving them control of ESI; anything else will be bluster and bullshit.'
What this really is a ploy for Elliott to recover money he thinks he is owed. Richard Cawley has tweeted: 'Indications from Charlton Athletic are that they aren't concerned/worried by Paul Elliott's statement. And that it is being dealt with by their legal team.'
