It was ever thus

Chuks Aneke came on as a substitute for Birmingham City against the Super Hoops and scored within a few minutes, his first since August.  He then put the ball over, missing a chance for an equaliser, although there was a case for a penalty for the Blews.

The EFL on Quest pundits think that they have some players past their prime and others yet to reach it and not much in between.  Apparently Lee Bowyer is unhappy about the financial backing he is getting from the board.   (It is his 45th birthday today).

A century ago there was a team called Birmingham Trams who at least were good at stopping other teams reaching the terminus, even if they queued there.  Blews seem weak in defence.   At least the Metro trams are back after a long lay off for repairs.

On the tram theme, I still have two 'last tram week' tickets somewhere!

Various ways of boosting attendances have been tried at Charlton, but my non-league club Leamington was more innovative at yesterday's game at the Your Co-op Community Stadium.
