I am a bit sceptical when managers say they expect 'a really tough game'. If they win, it looks like a bigger deal and if they lose they have an alibi ready. Draw and they can say it was written all over it.
Nevertheless, Portsmouth boss Danny Cowley is full of praise for Charltom's 'pace, power and athleticism' saying they carry 'a real goal threat': https://www.hampshirelive.news/sport/football/football-news/cowley-charlton-athletic-jackson-portsmouth-6570876
Charlton have a good recent record at Fratton Park, but I am not sure such records really mean anything: https://www.castrust.org/2022/01/a-mid-table-encounter/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=a-mid-table-encounter
Some fans now say we are in a relegation struggle, but three clubs are effectively already down and many of the others below us are lacking in quality.
