Loyal 300 head for Fleetwood

311 Addicks have bought tickets for tomorrow's game at Fleetwood and it is difficult to know whether to congratulate them for their loyalty or commiserate with them for their likely disappointment: https://www.castrust.org/2021/09/fleetwood-we-salute-the-travelling-300/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=fleetwood-we-salute-the-travelling-300

In the Badger prediction league at the start of the season I had this down as a 2-0 win for Charlton, but now even the reverse looks optimistic. But then football is a funny old game, especially where Charlton are concerned.

Previously big spenders, Fleetwood have been cutting back.   They lost a lot of top League One players.  Goalkeeper Alex Cairns is well thought of.

The population of Fleetwood is 25,000, so the club has done well to maintain itself at this level.

Following a 2-2 draw at Cambridge United last season, they drew 3-3 at MK Dons midweek.  If nothing else, they battle hard and are competitive.  They are currently 20th in the table.

Even should Charlton win tomorrow, they will not escape the relegation zone.
