When Hasselbaink played for us he was coming to the end of his playing career and had the turning circle of an oil tanker, although he did make 36 subsequent appearances for Cardiff City.

I think the actual resukt was 7-0. I have two particular memories of that game. Firstly the Burton supporters placed a replica beer bottle, about 4 feet tall, on the centre spot before the game. Secondly, it was before we had floodlights and it was getting so dark towards the end of the game that supporters were lighting newspapers and throwing them on to the cinder track surrounding the pitch in an effort to make it lighter.
