Aneke on match 'abuse' incident and fitness battle

Chuks Aneke hopes that Shrewsbury's keeper receives the support he needs after allegations of discriminatory abuse against him: https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/chuks-aneke-hopes-that-shrewsbury-stopper-marko-marosi-receives-support-needed-following-discriminatory-abuse-allegation/

Aneke also discusses the personal battle with fitness he has had all his career: https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/charlton-striker-chuks-aneke-my-fitness-is-my-personal-battle/

Some fans therefore think that he is not a useful member of the squad, but I see him as an impact sub who can come on and score a crucial goal.

The report in the Football League Paper implied that the abuse may have originated because the Slovakian keeper was mistaken for a Russian, but whatever is the case it needs to be investigated.

On a more positive note, happy 28th birthday to Jake Forster-Caskey.   Looking back on life from my age, I would say the late twenties is one of the best times.

  1. An "impact sub" can only sensibly be accommodated under the current squad number and budget constraints if he is rewarded commensurately to his part-time availability - can't see that's likely with Chuks
