In an interview with Talksport, Roland Duchatelet has said he feels guilty and sad for the fans, but emphasises that Charlton is not his life. Once again he insists the main problem was one of poor communication rather than daft decisions.

One way to expunge any feelings of guilt would be to sell the club at a reasonable price.
I'm currently watching the excellent 'Trust' which recounts the abduction of JP Getty III and the attempts of his family to convince JP Getty senior to relinquish the relatively paltry ransom funds. I don't know if Roland has a public phone box in his house but the parallels between JP Getty senior and Roland are there to see. Hopefully Roland too sees sense before it's too late.
