Huddersfield offer £2m for Karlan Grant

Huddersfield Town have offered £2m for Karlan Grant, but Charlton are holding out for more: Karlan Grant

It's not a bad offer for someone who has just six months left on his contract, certainly better than the derisory £500k offered earlier by Brentford. The concern is that, if he did go, would the money be reinvested?

Charlton have been linked with QPR youngster Paul Smyth on a loan deal. A forward, he has played for Northern Ireland: Career details

Lee Bowyer has confirmed that Smyth is one of a number of players of interest, but there will be no deal before the weekend: Interest in QPR striker

Reeco Hackett-Fairchild is set to deputise for Lyle Taylor at Peterborough.

  2. Taking £2 million to reduce costs of £10 million a year is crazy when his partnership with Taylor is what is spearheading our promotion push. It's a gamble to reject the offer but the rewards of promotion are far greater for an owner trying to sell the club. I'd argue that £2 million is a gamble worth taking when you're losing £10 million a year in any case.

Protests have quietened down a bit lately but if he desperately wants to rile the fans, here's a good opportunity for him. Roland has made plenty of terrible decisions since he's taken over the club, not convinced that'll change soon.

  4. Take the money. £2m for a player that will leave for free soon is a no brainer for any League One side. We could fill the gap with a loan signing as Grant is an average striker at best.
